nature worker co-op
Hinterland is a cooperative that practices collaboration, learning, creativity, and authenticity through meaningful work.
The land on which we work and gather is Indigenous. We respect and acknowledge the many generations of Indigenous peoples, plants and animals, past, present and future that share this land in a reciprocal relationship. We honour past and future generations in the way we connect and take care of the land while we are here. Also through our commitment to the TRC calls to action #13,14,63,19,66,68.
Our offerings include community ice rinks in Winnipeg, and an 18 acre camping and day-use park nestled in a lakeside Boreal Forest property, complete with hiking trails and a little market farm! In Gimli, Mb. Treaty #1.
We connect with this place: with community, with nature, and with each other.
We care for the land: with low impact practices, with organic farming, and through acknowledging the truth of the land.
Hinterland is for everyone: we are accessible and inclusive.

We believe that the more we help build a community that loves and appreciates each other and the natural world, the more we will be motivated to protect them.
